I need to stretch out. I have been napping and purring at the Woman as much as I can. She got up yesterday morning and could hardly open her eye.
She went to see the very nice vet that the Male uses (he must be nice if he can put up with the MALE!) and he said he thought it was shingles. He sent her to an equally nice opthamalogist who worked next door and he thinks it’s bacterial. At any rate, she’s got the hard hitting drugs for both anti-viral and anti-bacterial to cover all bases. The eye doc wants to see her again to make sure it doesn’t get into the eye seeing the infection appears to be in the bone around the eye (the bone on the right side of her face is all red but not the left).
Her eye is opened a bit wider this evening but we will see…. This is a lot of work for a cat…
Umm yes–in cases like this the Woman will take antibiotics… but she is upping her probiotics as well…
